I applied to the BOLD Fellowship to meet experts in the entrepreneurial space but also to challenge myself and validate my idea. Living close to the Italy border I was inspired to create autonomous drones, which can then be used for surveillance, providing view on both sides and aid in saving lives and giving necessary help where needed. At the time of my application, I had already been working on my startup for over 3 years.

As a wheelchair user, I’ve personally faced challenges navigating environments that weren’t designed with accessibility in mind. Accessify aims to empower people with disabilities by providing real-time data, helping them navigate different environments (cities, events, venues...) with confidence.

I had several goals when I started this venture. Like many others, one was to create a side project that could generate passive income. Additionally, as a software engineer, I wanted to leverage my skills to build a product that addresses a real problem—this idea was inspired by a challenge my brother faced. I saw it as an opportunity to develop a SaaS solution to help others with similar issues. Lastly, I’m passionate about startups because they push me beyond programming. They enhance my critical thinking, problem-solving, and product-focused mindset, helping me grow as a more well-rounded software engineer.
